Information about public transport accessibility

Recommended routes – train and bus

There are two routes we recommend.

Option 1 – Train

From Flinders Street Station. Take the train towards Upfield, which generally departs from Platform 5. Exit the train at Royal Park Railway Station – this will be approximately 7 stops on the train.

From Royal Park Railway Station, the walking distance to the venue is approximately 450 metres. Exit the station along Poplar Road walking towards the car park of Melbourne Zoo following the path between the tram tracks and brick wall of the zoo. This part has both a steep decline and incline (for those that wish to eliminate this section, please refer to Option 2 – Train and Tram).

Approximately 400 metres along this track the venue will become visible on the right. There is a safe spot to turn right across the tram tracks at the stop marked Stop 25 next to the venue. From here you will enter the rear car park of the State Netball Hockey Centre with an entrance nearby.

Option 2 – Train and Tram

From Flinders Street Station. Take the train towards Mernda, which regularly departs from Platform 1. Exit the train at Flagstaff Station – this will be approximately 2 stops on the train.

From outside Flagstaff Station, walk about 50 metres to Flagstaff Railway Station/William St Tram Stop 7. Enter the tram heading towards Bell St/Melville Rd. An accessible ramp is available at this stop upon request. Exit the tram at Stop 25 – State Netball Hockey Centre/Royal Park – this will take approximately 9 stops on the tram. As you exit the tram, the venue will be visible. From here you will enter the rear car park of the State Netball Hockey Centre with an entrance nearby.

Travelling by car

You can park at the venue car park. There is an allocation of disabled parking available.

Accessibility Information
